Family Group Night

A free monthly meeting for whole family experiencing special needs

Autism Care

Family Group Night

“Until you have a kid with special needs you have no idea of the depth of your strength, tenacity and resourcefulness.”

Family Group Night is a free support meeting for whole families experiencing special needs. This group is not diagnosis specific and is open to families living in Henderson and surrounding counties. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now meeting virtually on the SECOND MONDAY monthly from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. A FREE meal is available for pick up from 4:30 – 5:30 PM at Grotto II with advance registration (see below).

Check out our Facebook Event & Private Facebook Group for participants

Pre-Covid, the meeting began with a family meal then small groups to share stories, play games, and gather resources. St. Gerard House cares for children of all needs while parents patriciate in the night’s presentation. Once restrictions are lifted, we will resume meeting on the second Monday monthly from 5:30 – 7:30, family meal will take place from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. and groups breakout at 6:00 p.m. We hope to resume in-person Family Nights in 2022.

*We have received a number of requests to record our Virtual Family Group Nights. By participating in Family Group Night zoom meetings, you consent to the recording.
