Volunteer

Volunteer your time and help us in our mission to help individuals with autism and their families experience more joy and achieve meaningful life outcomes. We rely on over 800 hours of volunteer work annually to help run our programs. These valuable hours allow our trained behavior technicians to spend more time in direct services with children and families.

Volunteers have contributed to our work in some of the following ways:

  • Teacher’s Aide at the Grotto Therapeutic Center
  • Garden, Culinary, or Art assistance at Feed the Need sessions
  • Meal preparation and setup at Family Group Night
  • Help with after–school care at the Grotto
  • IT-related tasks
  • Fundraising efforts
  • Marketing
  • Occasional front desk/office work

St. Gerard House has three annual fundraising events that require a lot of planning ahead of time. We rely on the help of many volunteers to help these events come together.

As you can see there is much to be done. Call our office to learn more about different opportunities to volunteer.

Your Support Matters

Your generosity makes the work of St. Gerard House possible. Without the support of our community and donors, we could not offer life changing programs to children with autism and their families at an affordable cost. We accept families regardless of their insurance coverage or ability to pay. Unlike for-profit ABA centers, we are here to serve the whole family in all of their needs as well as provide quality care for their loved ones.

If you are interested in learning more about our fundraising efforts please contact Callie Davis, Director of Development and Community Engagement by email at [email protected] or by calling our office at (828) 693-4223.

St. Gerard House is a 501(c)3 non-profit, therefore your gift is tax deductible.

100% of your donation supports children and families impacted by autism.
